Singapore Airlines new lounge at Brisbane Airport is now fully open. It features a new light open area, bar, buffet, and showers.
The brand new Singapore Airlines Brisbane Airport lounge has opened, and it is a vast improvement compared to the airline's older lounge in Queensland.
As you enter, you realise the lounge has been vastly uprated. At the door is a printed glass artwork 'Signature Screen', that sets the tone for the whole lounge. Then the main lounge area itself which has natural light and great tarmac views.
There is seating for 80 passengers, with banks of armchairs, while over on the right is more of a dining area, with larger more upright chairs.
The Brisbane Singapore Airlines lounge is designed as a 'home away from home' which includes luxurious, natural elements such as marble and stone. Expertly fitted out by arete the lounge has the usual Singapore Airlines business pods lining the walls, with a table to work at, and power sockets for your devices.
All the chairs have power sockets nearby, and at the launch attention was shone on the two high-backed chairs near the window which look over the whole lounge.
Just as in Sydney, behind reception is another small area called 'The Gallery'. It is designed to be roped off for VIPs, or a touchdown area if you only have a few minutes before your flight.
In an alcove near the door is the buffet, with hot and cold food. Normally there are two hot dishes per day. There is a decent bar, with Aussie sparkling wine and an impressive beer collection. There are also two private shower suites.
The new Singapore Airlines Brisbane Airport lounge is right next to the new Plaza Premium lounge, and along the corridor up the escalators from the new Air New Zealand lounge.
It is open to Singapore Airlines Business Class passengers, Krisflyer Gold, Star Alliance Gold and Virgin Australia Velocity Gold and Platinum.
