British Airways new Club Europe dining includes more British ingredients, and more choice.
British Airways is to change the menus for some of it's short haul routes, following major changes last year.
The previous upgrade included menus for all but the shortest of flights, larger meals, and more choice.
Now, British Airways is to move to more British ingredients, around a 'best of British' flag.
The cooked breakfast will now include British sausages.
The dinnertime menu will feature shaved Herefordshire roast beef on a tartar cream with rocket, British Reared
Pork sausage and mash and a 'celebration of British cheeses'.
The small afternoon tea sandwiches are being slightly changed, with a refreshed selection of light bites.
Vegetarian options, if pre-booked, include three new vegetarian sandwich called 'Life On The Veg' will also debut as part of the revised menu.
The longest of flights, which always included two hot dishes, will now also include a cold salad.
However, the practice of serving wine in large bottles from the galley on long haul flights is being scrapped, and now all wine will be served in minutes, in line with the previous policy for the shortest of flights, to minimise waste.
Menus from Gatwick are largely unchanged, rotating once a month, and include the unique Gatwick ploughman's lunch. However, menus on flights via Heathrow will also be changed every fortnight.
"Many of our fliers travel regularly so we think they'll appreciate more variety and great quality ingredients," reasons Carolina Martinoli, British Airways' Director of Brand and Customer Experience. "Our new long-haul Club World menus are proving incredibly popular and we want to be able to replicate that quality and choice in our short haul Club Europe cabin too.
To test the new menus, lux-traveller will be taking a series of flights on launch day, September the 12th, to check out the new in flight dining on British Airways.
