Star Alliance passengers flying from Amsterdam can look forward to a new, high-quality lounge experience when flying out of Amsterdam.
Star Alliance passengers flying from Amsterdam can enjoy the new lounge at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. It will be used by Aegean, Austrian, Lufthansa, SAS, Swiss and TAP Air Portugal.
Designed by Amsterdam-based architectural design firm D-Dock, the Star Alliance Amsterdam Lounge has a great dining area, buffet food, a wine bar with beer on draft, and a small business centre.
The lounge also has a luggage room, individual work booths, a shared reading / work table, with wifi printing or scanning.
Being a new lounge, there are no computers as most passengers will bring their own device, but there are plenty of USB recharging sockets.
The lounge is located in the Schengen area of the airport, after the security check, on the third floor of terminal 1 at the Panorama terrace. From the lounge, travellers have easy access to the gates for flights to European destinations in the Schengen zone of the Star Alliance member airlines.
There is access for passengers in first or business class on Star Alliance, along with Star Alliance Gold frequent flyers, and passengers with paid membership to Air Canada's Maple Leaf Club or the United Club programs.
Air Canada, United, Singapore Airlines will continue to use lounges in the non-Schengen area of the terminal, but passengers can access this lounge if they have an EU passport - and enough time. To access this lounge from the Schengen area you will need to go through passport control twice. From the Schengen area, you can walk straight from the lounge to your gate.
The existing Star Alliance lounge at Paris Charles-de-Gaulle airport will also be redesigned in the coming months.
