Virgin Atlantic Flying Club changes Virgin Atlantic is to make large scale changes to its Flying Club loyalty programme.

Most passengers, flying on the cheapest of economy tickets, will now earn fewer Miles flying Virgin Atlantic, and will find it much harder to earn status. However, passengers paying for Flexible Premium Economy or any Upper Class ticket will do well under the changes.

Virgin Australia status via Coles Flybuys Virgin Australia has become one of the few of the worlds Frequent Flyer schemes which allow you to earn status as you shop.

This gives you the chance to fast track your Velocity membership level and enjoy access to the Virgin Australia Lounge sooner.

You can earn 1 Velocity Status Credit for every $100 spent at Coles.

Virgin Australia revamp Velocity frequent flyer New Status Credit earn tables will apply on Virgin Australia.

Some passengers will earn fewer Status Credits.

However cheaper fares are now up-gradable with points.
