Trip Report: Air France A350 to Dubai Business Class
Just how good is Air France in Business Class on one of their key routes, the twice a day flight to Dubai, where the airline goes head to head with Emirates. With high hopes of French high cuisine and some Parisian style I headed to Paris CDG. However, surly staff, woeful catering, non existent wifi, and belligerent passengers - and that's just on the ground - set this up to be a flight like no other.
Air France opens CDG Schengen lounge
Air France has opened its new 3,000square meter lounge at Paris CDG's Terminal 2F. The terminal is dedicated to customers travelling on the French carrier's Schengen network, of short and medium-haul flights around Europe. The twin level lounge, designed in the spirit of a French bistro, offers pancakes, cheeses and champagne all day. Unusually, economy class passengers can also access the lounge for a small fee.
Air France opens Montreal lounge
The new Montreal Air France lounge is now fully open. The lounge has vast windows overlooking the runways and Mount Royal. Operated by Plaza Premium, there is plenty of seating including large sofas, plus a large bar with French wines and champagnes.
Air France opens Washington lounge, axes A380
The Washington Air France lounge has reopened, with a fresh new look. There is pre-flight dining with waiter service and Champagne. The French carrier has also announced the ending of A380 flights, and a change in Business Class dining.
New Air France A330 Business Class cabin.
Air France has unveiled their new A330 business class cabin. There are fully flat seats, however there is no direct aisle access. Air France A330 Premium Economy comes in with a 40 inch pitch.
Air France open CDG lounge
Air France has reopened the airlines latest business class lounge at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. It has a vibrant upmarket design with a spa and wellness zone, private saunas, sleep suites and a snack bar. There is also an Air France Shop selling souvenirs.
