Qatar Airways opens Paris Lounge
The brand new lounge at Paris CDG Airport for Qatar Airways passengers features all of the facilities and qualities of the airline's premium product, for the airline's three flights a day to Doha.
There is a new Brasserie and Global Deli, prayer rooms, business centre, shower facilities, Wi-Fi and zoned seating for more than 200 passengers. There are far-reaching views of Paris and the Eiffel Tower, from vast floor to ceiling windows.
Spanning more than 1,000 sqm on level 11 of Terminal 1, there are numerous zones for privacy and lounging.
There is also a fully-stocked bar and barista station beside high blue booth seating, with odd bobble cushioned walls, and a feature wall of blue tiles.
The Brasserie has an open style kitchen for freshly-prepared á? la carte orders, in addition to an existing buffet spread, offering what the airline terms is an international menu, from across the globe. In the Brasserie there are tables for four, for two, and individual seats, on a large gold backed wall.
Despite the low ceilings in the lounge, a result of being built in the older Terminal 1, there are comfortable seating areas around the walls.
There is also a relaxation zone, with seats around a central water feature, featuring a fountain in the shape of a star, surounded by four large curved sofas.
As you enter there are vast high backed chairs, and an oriental opaque screen.
Power outlets sprinkled through the lounge, and there is of course high-speed wireless internet.
The new Qatar Paris Charles de Gaulle Lounge follows the relaunch of the airline's Premium Lounge at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, and a new lounge for frequent flyers at London Heathrow.
The lounge welcomes business and first class passengers, and unlike the London lounge, also allows access to oneworld emerald and sapphire cardholders in economy.
