Virgin Atlantic A330 new Upper Class cabins
Virgin Atlantic has shown off it's revamped Business Class seat - dubbed Upper Class.
It uses a standard off-the-shelf Business Class seat, but added the airlines' own touches, and includes a small bar.
One refinement is the seats at the front of the cabin will be 'Business Class plus' with more space.

44 Upper Class (Business Class) seats have a new 1-2-1 configuration, with a pitch of 44 inches, converting to an 82-inch fully flat bed.
There is a new walk up lounge area, but no longer a bar.
Premium economy seats will get smaller, with only an 18 inch width.

Virgin Atlantic has opened a new Clubhouse lounge in London Gatwick’s North Terminal.

Virgin Holidays has opened its new a v-room lounge at London Gatwick Airport.
It promises a calming atmosphere away from the hectic airport terminal.
There are interactive games, a buffet and bar.
Virgin Atlantic Flying Club changes
Virgin Atlantic is to make large scale changes to its Flying Club loyalty programme.
Most passengers, flying on the cheapest of economy tickets, will now earn fewer Miles flying Virgin Atlantic, and will find it much harder to earn status. However, passengers paying for Flexible Premium Economy or any Upper Class ticket will do well under the changes.
Virgin Atlantic LAX lounge open, VS cuts routes

Catering is by Hinoki and the Bird, while The Juicery provide healthy juice options.
LAX gains a second daily VS flight, but other routes to Tokyo, Vancouver and Cape Town have been axed.
