Iberia has reopened its Business Class lounge at the Madrid hub after extensive refurbishment. The new Velazquez Premium Lounge in Terminal 4 at Madrid Airport has a wine tasting area, and a large restaurant for pre-flight dining.
The new Iberia Madrid Business Class lounge has finally reopened, and with it a new 2,500 square meter floor area, accommodating up to 500 passengers.
Located in T4 Satellite building, there is a new larger, improved restaurant area with waiter service for pre-flight dining before transatlantic flights.
There is also a hot and cold buffet with salads and cold cuts.
After an initial soft launch, all the lounge services are now available, including smart touch information screens a "Health Point" with six shower cubicles, and a "Vinothacque": in effect a wine tasting area with 22 Spanish regional wines.
There are the usual lounge amenities including free unlimited Wi-Fi and arm chairs with USB power sockets.
In the main part of the lounge there is a great view of the airport apron from the sofas, plus a business centre with computers and a special area for children.
"From now on, to rest, to work, to enjoy a refreshment, or calmly wait for your flight to be called have a new meaning; we have made improvements to everything, with special attention to connectivity and food service, for an unrivalled customer experience," says Gabriel Perdiguero, Iberia's Customer and Business Transformation director.
The new Madrid Iberia Premium Lounge Velázquez is open around the clock.
