Plaza Premium Lounge opens first Dubai lounge
Spanning 1,260 square meters, the Plaza Premium Lounge Dubai is located in Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport.
It is the first venture into Dubai for the Plaza Premium chain, and will be a welcome respite for travellers unwilling to pay the $100US charge that Emirates levy for access to it's lounges by economy class passengers, as well as passengers on other airlines in economy.
The lounge offers comfortable seating and a dining area with a varied array of Arabic, Asian and International cuisines freshly prepared in the open plan theatre kitchen.
There is a dedicated bar, called the Aerobar, in a separate area of the lounge, which provides complementary beer wine and spirits all day. Premium drinks such as champagne are available by paying an extra charge.
Brewed tea and coffee, soft drinks are also available in the dining area.
The Dubai Plaza Premium Lounge also has free wifi, a dedicated Smoking Room, five shower rooms with free amenities and four private rooms. These Family Suites come with butler service and can accommodate a maximum of 6 guests (adults and children inclusive); ideal for families and business travellers who prefer their own space and privacy.
There are some of Plaza's unique single-person 'relaxation seats', similar to Cathay Pacific's Solus chair which offers a table for workspace, plus a small rest area for naps, a business centre with work stations, and a prayer room.
There is a separate Kids' Play Area with wooden toys and cartoons on a big screen TV.
Access to the Dubai Plaza lounge starts from $53US per person for a three-hour visit, and increases to $106 for six hours.
The new lounge is on Level 4, Concourse A in the West Wing, the past Duty Free shopping area between Gates A2 and A3, airside at Terminal 3 in Dubai International Airport.
It is open 24 hours a day.
