Japan Airlines opens Bangkok and Okinawa lounge
Japan Airlines has opened two new lounges. The new-look Bangkok Sakura Lounge has opened with more shower suites and dining menus designed by Nippon-Tei, a well-known Japanese restaurant in Bangkok. The Okinawa lounge has been designed by famous Japanese interior designer Ryu Kosaka.
Refreshed JAL Osaka Lounge reopens
Japan Airlines has reopened its lounge at Osaka for First and Business Class passengers on international flights. The revamp adds a large, if dull, dining area with an enhanced buffet counter, including what is called a domestic beef curry developed by the chef of Hotel Nikko.
JAL 787 cuts seats, starts Osaka-Los Angeles
JAL create the most spacious twin aisle aircraft flying, by removing seats to give passengers more space. The new JAL 787 has the new JAL business class suite, with a fully-flat 74 inch bed, plus JAL Premium Economy with a pitch of 42 inches. The new economy in JAL 787 also takes away a row of seats, giving a 2-4-2 layout, and a 33 inch pitch.
Japan Airlines new Tokyo Lounge open for First Class
Japan Airlines new first class lounge at Tokyos Haneda Airport is now open. With a traditional Japanese design, the lounge comes decked out with a library, memorabilia gallery and relaxation zone plus a rumpus room, bar and dining area. There is a small shower suite, and a shoeshine service.
New Business Class JAL Sky Recliner seat
Japan Airlines will put into service a brand new international executive class seat. The JAL Sky Recliner arrives when it receives four new Boeing 767-300ER aircraft from the manufacturer starting this month.
