Cathay Pacific London Lounge

Cathay Pacific has opened new First and Business Class lounges at London Heathrow Terminal 3.

The design of the lounge reflects the airline’s world-renowned lounges The Wing and The Pier at Hong Kong.

The lounges are at Terminal 3 at London Heathrow central concourse at London Heathrow Airport, and have separate First Class and Business Class sections.

The reception area in the new London lounge, which makes extensive use of classic white marble, one of the key components adapted from the award-winning designs of The Wing and The Pier at Hong Kong International Airport.

Cathay Pacific’s new First Class Lounge at London Heathrow Airport features a high-ceiling window wall offering passengers a panoramic view of the apron area, and aircraft at their gates. There are 49 really very comfortable seats, with some single seats looking out through the window, and five of what Cathay Pacific are calling “Personal Living Spaces”. These have state of the art plasma screens, with a choice of news, comedy and movie channels.

Meanwhile the LHR Business Class lounge offering from Cathay has four distinct zones where passengers can relax or work on 136 rather dull red and grey seats.

There is a business area behind a high wide screen, Wi-Fi connection throughout the lounge, a newspaper rack with most of the daily UK newspapers, a small bar, and the signature noodle bar, a popular feature at the airline’s world-renowned lounges The Wing and The Pier at Hong Kong International Airport, providing a selection of authentic noodles for passengers to choose from. Another dining highlight is an improved buffet area with a wide selection of Western and Asian food and drinks, which you can take to the long table beside the buffet, and admire the “Cathay Pacific Landscape Wall”.

The 923 square-metre lounges feature five fully equipped shower suites in each lounge.

The lounges are open between 0530 and 2200 for First and Business Class passengers travelling on Cathay Pacific, Silver and above Marco Polo Club members, and oneworld Emerald and Sapphire. You can visit the lounge if flying on BA, Iberia or Qantas from Terminal 3, and if you are flying on Cathay you can also nip around to the BA lounge for variety.

In addition to London and Hong Kong, Cathay Pacific also has lounges in Bahrain, Bangkok, Beijing, Frankfurt, Kuala Lumpur, Melbourne, Paris, Penang, Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore, Tokyo, and Vancouver.
